Create a Floating Action Button (FAB)

You can create a floating action button for grids to allow easy addition of new datasets.

  1. Open Design menu > Menu + Action submenu > Menu Function tab.

  2. Click +Neu to create a new function.

  3. Fill in the fields as follows:

    Function Name: LaunchCreateAdresseDialog Function Type: Akioma.Swat.Studio.Menu.Action Function Code: LaunchCreateAdresseDialog

  4. Click Ok to save the new menu function and then close the window.

  5. Switch from the Menu Function tab to the Menu Structure tab and select the desired and already existing menu structure.

  6. In the Tree drop-down menu select Menu and click the Neue Unterposition button to create a submenu.

  7. Enter the name ‘FAB Menus’ in the MenuName field and click save.

  8. Select the ‘FAB Menus’ submenu and create another submenu.

  9. Enter, for example, ‘AdresseCreateFab’ in the MenuName and the MenuStructureCode field and click save.

  10. In the Tree drop-down menu select Item and click the Neue Unterposition button to create a Menu Item.

  11. Enter, for example, the ‘CreateAdresse’ in the Label and the code field and click save.

  12. Open Design menu > Screens submenu and select the screen in which you want to add the floating action button.

  13. Select the grid in the Layout design or Preview window.

  14. Browse the Attributes table for the attribute floatingActionButton and enter the MenuStructureCode ‘AdresseCreateFab’ in the Attribute Value field.

The floating action button is displayed when running a launch.
